Do you use the 'D-Pad' or analog stick?

Not sure if this is a personal preference type of thing or if all good players favor one control scheme over the other because it's inherently better (I'm not good enough to know the difference except that one is easier for me than the other).

Go D-Pad! It's quicker and more precise! I also use the D-Pad in HD.

I think it is a matter of personal preference and what you are used to. I'm used to playing WipEout with the thumbsticks,so I mainly use the thumbsticks on the DS3/nub on the PSP

At last it is a taste thing. But the Arrow badges are definitively more exact what concerns the control.
With the Thumbstick one could steer, perhaps, more intuitively, but this is a little bit too lax to me - just if one flies in higher classes.
I think that many pilots fall back rather on the Arrow badges!

I use analog sticks, after playing WipEout F3600 with the D-PAD, my fingers really hurt

I use the D-Pad.

BRs are nearly impossible to do with the analog stick... Especially on Phantom.
