This uses *.WAV files from Wipeout3se_fx.zip and Delta.TTF font for a WO3SE styled Windows Theme.

*This WILL change your desktop background and colour scheme so make sure you know where your desktop image is before you install this.* - There is no image is just changes the desktop to a solid grey.

Installation:
1. Download http://www.wipeoutzone.com/downloads/wipeout3se_fx.zip

2. Extract the contents of wipeout3se_fx.zip to "C:\Windows\Media\"

(Or where ever you installed Windows.)
- You should end up with a path that looks like this:
"C:\Windows\Media\Wipeout3se_fx"

3. Install the Delta Ray font

4. Double-click on the Wip3outSE.themepack

*Notes*
This themepack has been tested in Windows 7 on 3 desktops and 1 laptop with no problems.
- Does not work for Vista/XP. (See Manual Settings)

Happy 10th Birthday WO3SE!

Didn't work for me (XP user), "Windows cannot open this file" (the themepack file)...
It was worth a try though.

Most of the sounds don't work as expected, they just sound like a bubble popping before them, and that's on the few that work.

Yer I didn't think it would do much for XP =[

I've edit the post to include the assignments.

You do know I'm on Windows 7, right?

That would make sense actually. People who have Vista usually would of completely lost all of there sanity now.

Does this work on Vista? Does anyone know? or its not worth giving it a try.

Honestly, it isn't worth it. More than healf the sounds aren't working, and the others are just a popping noise. Unless you're going to get the sound effects yourself and put them in manually, of course.

Bugger it. i wont install it. Windows stupid noises just irritate me some more, and gives me a greater incentive to smash the keyboard with my right fist.

You don't actually need the themepack - just the patience to add the fonts, colours and sounds. But, the creator does deserve credit for doing it for us, despite the shortcomings, so hats off to you. :clap

Yeah, it's not worth it... Extracting a zip and spending 5 minutes assigning the sounds is just WAY to much trouble... :brickwall

Don't get yourself down over it, you did great making it! Sure, it may not work as you (or anoybody else) would have intended, but you show that you know what you're doing and that is worth more than a theme. Like I said, hats off to you. :+

Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress and although it does work as intended on 4 computers I've installed it on, I understand that not all computers are the same and there will be issues as it is far from complete.

I'll be adding things, fine tuning it until it is and may create versions for Vista/XP users if it doesn't take too much time once the Win7 versions are done.
(I'm already unsatisfied with a couple of the sound assignments, But I do find myself deleting files just so I can empty the recycling bin :dizzy ).

Also, The grey background is boring so if anyone has any nice wallpapers they would like to contribute to this project please pass along the details, post links etc.
- I'm open to constructive suggestions as to where fonts/sounds do/don't fit/work.

with some changes to the window colour and a toolbar background modifier, you can make something like this - sounds are of course optional!

I can't say thanks enough for this theme. It's made my transition into Windows 7 better than I can imagine. I just love the shield clip when UAC activates. :3 It also gives me a use for all the WipEout HD pictures I made. My only note is that I wish the audio was a bit "crispier" but all in all I'm grateful you made it. :D
