View Full Version : I only want to date girls who actually play Wipeout HD

I've been trying for a long time
to resolve all my issues
with tissues.

Now I am not scared anymore
I am brave or otherwise
synched as stupid, or otherwise ...

Critter Crunch.
Or otherwise. Wise.
My whole life philosophy
now is that I only date girls

who play WipeoutHD.

Guess it's back to the tissues then...

Dear god no, I don't want some n00bworthy girl stealing my WOHD time. If she got her own PS3 and TV then maybe we could come to some sort of agreement. Would be strictly platonic though, Wipeout > Sexy time :P

Nice poem ^_^

I never find any girls playing Wipeout HD online... unless the player I competed with was Ariel Tetsuo.

I think girls should definitely be kept separate from anything that gives you joy without strings attached. By the same logic, don't attach strings to girls - they'll think you're strange.

Dont do it.

Take my word for it.

Good luck. WHD has a lower woman/man ratio than any game I've ever seen. More girls play dating sims, FCOL.

Pipes in the halls... what pipes? Seriously.

That university must be a sausage factory - as I've been tempted to stick my @($* in some bad places when drunk - but not once has a piece of building plumbing been on that list... ever. And I've been my share of hammered. :blarg

More like poor siriusbee. I'm sure this isn't helping his chances with the WipEout ladies.:lol

Well, try this - next time you meet a chook (mighty fine example of a really fit girl/lady), and she asks you what you do, tell her you're a pilot! Did the trick for me, only thing is - I already got a girlfriend and now this other girl is sending me texts... yeah, I know! :g ... I'm playing along atm - just coz it feels nice to flirt with someone new :paperbag ...

... I guess I'll have to break it to her, that I was joking about being a pilot... but not sure when. This is too much fun :g

eeeeek :rock

Dark_Phantom_89
18th December 2009, 06:19 PM
But you are technically a pilot Ace, just not in the way she's thinking ;)

ACE-FLO
18th December 2009, 06:29 PM
Aha, good one DP! :g

So many puns come to mind - but they all dirty, so I won't let on. But uhm, yah, I'm a pilot! MWUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAAA (cough) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (cough + splutter) GHAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAH (cough + choke) erm, ok, enough! :g

Vartazian

Trust me, after you play wipeout with her. It wont be enjoyable for you after you folks break up.

(first hand experience)

Mr Phlanj
18th December 2009, 11:33 PM
maybe, it depends how it goes, if u break up while eating a ham sandwich you don't stop eating the delicious wafer thin ham with lettuce in between freshly cooked thick white bread with a nice thin layer of mustard with a cool refreshment at hand.....sorry what was i saying??

The phrase, "Deception is foolish because it leads to disaster and pain." occurs to me.

But all too often honesty inevitably leads to disaster and pain.

the phrase "damned if you do, damned if you don't" comes to mind lol ;P

also, I might actually benefit from a creative and entrepreneurial girl who doesn't play videogames for the next chick I get involved with. That, or if she plays, then she had damn well better be a challenge :P

There are a lot of good threads around now too, where people are joining in friendly competition and also being very creative with the game etc. This thread is full of the kind of banter that groups of 'lads' have with each other. It's a bit juvenile in places, but that's the nature of the beast I suppose.

Something men do a lot in general when in groups is to discuss women in a way that they really wouldn't want women to hear; ways which 'objectify' women and such. I don't know why that is, but I know they don't really mean it, and again it's just a kind of banter. I'm not saying it's going to be to everyone's tastes, but I don't think any harm is meant by it or anything.

At the end of the day, we all know that it doesn't matter whether a girl or boy plays WipEout or not (or indeed any other game). Despite all the blokey talk, generally people can fall for someone even with a world of difference between them. I'm still of the opinion that a person is better not relying on a partner for enjoyment of certain things. I think this is one such thing. We all need to be have our own little havens where we can escape reality for a while. Sharing things is obviously good, which is why this place and others like it exist. If two people who are romantically involved also enjoy playing games together, then that's just one more thing they can share. But I would think then it would still be healthy to have something else they can both go and do separately that gives them joy, otherwise they'll become too reliant on each other. I was of the opinion about 5 years ago that I was going to be miserable without a girl, and really pinned all my hopes of happiness on finding someone to be with. But now I have certain things which I can enjoy on my own and no longer feel that reliance, which I think is a positive step towards...well I don't know quite know what yet, but it feels good anyway.

So yeah, by all means share things you enjoy with your partner, but don't create conditions for a prospective partner before you've even met them, such as "they must play WipEout", or "they must be younger, shorter and smarter than me". That would be silly, but I expect a bit of silliness was what siriusbee was going for anyway.

Lance
20th December 2009, 04:15 PM
Silliness achieved.

and to contribute>
To restrict myself to associating romantically only with someone who fulfilled a qualification set shared by small numbers would be kinda destructive of my happiness, wouldn't it?

Only those who play WipEout? That by itself, sheesh.. and the automatic further restriction of only those of the correct gender preference would reduce the suitable people to near zero percent. And only those as smart or smarter than me? Shhhhhhhhheeeeeeit. That would be fatal to romance. ;) :g

AG-wolf
20th December 2009, 04:36 PM
Yeah seriously- it's not worth getting offended. Take all of this with a grain of salt; you're seeing it from a different perspective since most of the members here are male. I should hope most of us aren't so superficial as to base our preference on whether or not the other person plays Wipeout (or videogames in general), it's just something silly to think about. I'm sure women have some kind of similar conversations amongst their own company ;P

Lance
20th December 2009, 04:38 PM
I know they do. I haven't seen it on forums, but I've heard those sort of discussions in real life amongst friends and friends of friends. The women's discussions were actually raunchier than those of the guys. Bleh.

It's super weird that you would restrict it to Wipeout HD, though. Really, what if she played every other Wipeout but said, "you know, I don't care for the ads, instability, lack of real 1080p, failed commitments to 60 FPS, broken leaderboards, and broken hearts generally."

I'd lose control, take her and say, "don't worry, baby, I'd treat you right." :nod

I wish my girl :
1 - didn't hate me playing PS3 so much.
2 - would sit on the sofa and watch me play, egg me on to win.
3 - comfort me with kisses when I DNF
5 - bring me coffee when I'm in a 12 race, at 3am in the morning
6 - called up Sony/SL and got them to fix the leaderbaords
7 - I wish I didn't have to wish... :D

Lance

That's not wishing; that's a parallel-dimension fantasy, that is. ;)

ACE-FLO

Lance

At least eleven, including 2 where you don't smoke and one where you don't play WipEout.

But my opinion is that there are an infinite number of parallel universes. Or very nearly infinite. ;)

Enough said. It was a joke done in the early mornings. Or a really mourning joke said at a cancer patient's funeral. If you're really mourning, try Coco-Pops without the chocolate.

So ok, it was a joke, don't put bombs in my face on Moa Therma when you're racing like a Phantom already ;)

How do I locate your friends and the friends who are amongst?

SaturnReturn

I know it was a joke. I was just trying to reassure anyone who might have taken offense to anything that came after it, that the rest was simply banter too. There's also no reason why the thread can't combine having a laugh and making a serious point at the same time.:+

Speaking of being serious, please don't serial post like that. I notice you've done it before and it seems to have gone unmentioned. Also, when you quote you don't need to quote the whole thing. You can edit the quotes down so they take less space. They automatically contain a link to the original post so that anyone who wants to read the whole thing can go straight to it. Doing this just saves space and keeps things tidier.

I know you knew it was a joke. I was just trying to impart to general public that it indeed was, from my own tongue. As apart from yours.
