As a mmorpg and Wipeout fan, I've been thinking lately just how cool a game a Wipeout mmorpg could be. The world and atmosphere of the Wipeout series (especially the first two) would make for a great setting for such a game.
The game would, of course, center around the racing... but you could also concentrate on the behind the scenes battles and rivalries between the individual companies. You could be a sabateur in the pay of Auricom. Or a mechanic as well as a pilot. There are a lot of possiblities.
Of course, the races could be really cool... not only could you be a pilot.. but just being a spectator at one of the events would be awesome. Imagine actually traveling to where the event was to take place, and entering the stands as a third person observer and watching the race unfold in real time.
Of course, this is just a pipe dream and would never happen... but still, it's nice to dream. :wink:
