Team NORDIC - Sunday Sep 12th - time to be confirmed - if all agree.

I'll try sending another message to a different Team Japan member to sort a date.
Do we want it pre the above?

I've requested some "Chalk in dates" for racing against team Japan as 29th & 30th of August.
and TEAM UK as either the weekends of the 5th/6th or 19th 20th of Sept.

I sent a message to MU5 regarding Team Scotland racing with the same dates as team UK so an option for them,or after for possible racing dates.

Anybody that can or cannot make any of these dates please post ASAP.

Hey ANZ - and enemies on the track - mates :p

If all goes well, you´ll meet

http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=11&pictureid=710

on sunday the 13th of september.
I just checked the time-zones of the world and I think, considering these, somewhere between 10.00 to 13.00 GMT would be an appropriate time (we´ve still got a hangover and you´re about to get drunk ...) - Fair deal.
Let´s settle on the exact time as soon as possible, okay?
The week before the match, we´ll decide who´s racing for each team.

Prepare to meet The Reaper, mates :twisted

blackwiggle
17th August 2009, 08:51 AM
I'm OK with that.
Since I don't get any feedback from other team members lately despite some pleading for it.
Consider it confirmed.

JJPAP
17th August 2009, 09:40 AM
OK, let´s say Sunday the 13th of september - 11.00 GMT, then.
See you :banzai

blackwiggle
17th August 2009, 10:00 AM
You guys can host the forward,we the reverse if that's ok with you.

If we can start a chat room 1 hour beforehand that would be brilliant.

JJPAP
17th August 2009, 10:02 AM

Id wana watch this match. See the Aussies fight the Nords!

Convicts Versus Vikings!

blackwiggle
17th August 2009, 11:26 AM
VART mate please don't lag us down by going into spectator mode while we are in full combat.

I appreciate the interest.and I'm sure videos will be recorded.

Let the videos speak for themselves.

It's going to be a INTERESTING duel, especially since it seems that I have been the original instigator of most of team NORDIC becoming Wipeoutzone members in the first place.

The biggest shot in ones foot that could ever happen .:brickwall

Vartazian
17th August 2009, 11:54 AM
I woudlnt be able to lag the match for 2 reasons.

One: 8 players = No room for Spectator

Two: I said "I'd" as In I WOULD like to watch this match, I know I wont be able too.

blackwiggle
17th August 2009, 12:03 PM
Sorry mate.
My bad.
I know you would want an even playing field even if it was possible to view the racing while it took place.
You a very fast gentleman's racer.
RESPECT!

Dear blackwiggle-san

Thank you for your prompt reply and matching the schedule.

Best regards. :)

djKyoto
18th August 2009, 11:58 AM
I can't read Japanese timing conventions, but is that 2am local/3am Sydney time? :?

If so, why would you want to race at 2am?

Aka-sho
18th August 2009, 03:51 PM
Dear djKyoto-san

We gathered the Japanese team member and discussed WWC Schedule date & time.

Our fastest racer reach-big7 is available time at AM2:00 - AM6:00.

Sorry... I know, but we will want to play WWC game by the best member.

If you cannot match, we will change race time.

Thank you :)

JJPAP
18th August 2009, 04:10 PM
I have been the original instigator of most of team NORDIC becoming Wipeoutzone members in the first place.

And for this we´ll give you a free pair of

http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=11&pictureid=411

to wear on the beaches of beautiful Australia :D

See you in september (if not before), mate

rdmx
19th August 2009, 07:54 AM
I'm probably not going to be available, but I can tell you almost immediately that playing at 2:00-6:00 am is a ridiculous proposition for us ;)

blackwiggle
19th August 2009, 11:39 AM
Yeah 2.00am -6.00am is no good for anybody on team Aus/Nz.

I can understand wanting to have your best racer Aka-Sho but I think we better reschedule for a different time/date,and since there is only 1 hour difference between Japan /Aus est surely a more suitable time can be found.

As it is,if you count game set up,racing, plus the loading times for 16 tracks = approx 90 minutes.

blackwiggle
20th August 2009, 11:50 AM
Please explain to me why reach-big7 has been racing as I post this message.?at 10.50pm Aus time.

And has been racing for the last 2 hours.?

According to you he is NOT able to race BEFORE 2 AM.

NOT TRUE.

SORT IT
SAVE face otherwise I will consider team Japan of trying to cheat and will let know it to all other teams that are faced against them.

Please read my reply message.

Thank you & Best regards.

Aka-sho :)

I saw those same two last posts on the Team Japan thread. This is known as cross-posting, and unnecessary duplication. Please do not do this; if the participants do not already read each other's schedules, then please set up a specific challenge as it's own thread which both [or more teams] will all read, thus assuring good communication.

djKyoto

SAVE face otherwise I will consider team Japan of trying to cheat and will let know it to all other teams that are faced against them.

Dude, chill man.

@Aka-sho-san-kun-senpai-sensei: Latest I'm prepared to start is Midnightish GMT+10. I don't particually want to be playing a WWC match after 3am and be off my game, sorry.

blackwiggle
22nd August 2009, 05:29 AM
Yeah your correct djkyoto ,sorry about that Aka-Sho [and the cross posting Lance]

When I went to post the first time the zone web page froze and didn't show up as a post being made,so I quit and re-posted [not in the same section it seems] and that post didn't show up as being posted either.

That's been happening quite a bit lately, usually I've been getting the wipeoutzone unavailable message, try later when this has happened, not this time.

A combination of frustration and confusion .

6th September 2009, 12:44 PM
I can't say I'm pleased with the solution to the problem of 4 vs. 3, I didn't want to have to drop out early. I think I was doing quite well too. Good luck to Team England.

KIGO1987
6th September 2009, 01:01 PM
Having a stupid ****ing Sunday night time was seriously retarded.

I could of done last Friday night, but this crap needs to organized properly, and not all last minute ****, no wonder why poor Blackwiggle has probably had a heart attack over this.

djKyoto
6th September 2009, 01:32 PM
Sorry Amorbis (that sucks). If it makes any difference you'll be pleased with the result.

Kigo, just so you've got a whole weeks notice, next race is next sunday night at 9pm Sydney time. The time caters to the most people possible, not just you.

KIGO1987
6th September 2009, 01:41 PM
yeah and **** time for me,

**** this is irritating me,

We'll stick with this time atm,

Then talk about it on the working week before the weekend of this race, still not happy about it.

Question;

Why the hell are we named after a bank now?

ANZ ?? WTF ??

djKyoto
11th September 2009, 01:40 PM
For the same reason the bank has it's name.

Australia&NZ. I should change it to ANZAC tho if you like. ;)

KIGO1987
11th September 2009, 01:51 PM
Banks are bastards though. They stab you in the back, and sneaky and cuntyily pinch money from your saving accounts.

I don't want the team to be appeared as bastards.

Cant use the ANZAC tag, that's for war people legacy history.

Plus isn't Radiumx is in charge of the social groups name.

JJPAP
11th September 2009, 03:20 PM

blackwiggle

So Sydney will be GMT +11 from then.

KIGO1987
29th September 2009, 03:27 AM
Perth ditched DLS savings earlier this year. Perth still stays at GMT+8.

****ing hate DLS tbh, that 3 year trial was torture.

blackwiggle

Has any likely date/time been put forward?

What happened with the 2 V 2 match anyway ?

From what I read it seems like there was a mix up with the times and it started an hour earlier than originally agreed.

djKyoto
14th October 2009, 07:32 AM
Uh, OBH posted the results last sunday (http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6497&page=33). I dunno what was with the times, but we where all there so we just started anyway, meh.

Read the post, something you seem to do,but your replies suggest not.

Very very frustrating.

By your Meh response, I gather that if we all arrive a different times to the next contest it will go on regardless.

Not the way to take these final races seriously.

We want and need a organized team of 4.
At a TIME & DATE with HOST KNOWN & with Chat room started beforehand.

It's KILL or be KILLED.
You ,LUNA,Trendf & either Kigo or myself ...I'm practicing for a WIN not a place.

WE CAN WIN THIS !!!!!!:pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate

The opposition has already told me who they are gunning for.

Shoot the crap out of each other while "Others" take the points

on that note, I've been looking at the timezones of the players that might participate. The timezones are very spread out. NA is GMT-6 through -8 While AUZ is GMT+8 through +11 with Luna at GMT+1

One time I think that will be the best is Sunday 6am GMT. Here are the times it would require each player to play.

NAWT:
TarotCardKiller gmt-6 12am Sun
Vartazian gmt -8 10pm Sat
DeepMix gmt -7 11pm Sat
4th

AUZ
LUNA_bgd gmt+1 7am Sun
DjKyoto gmt+11 8pm Sun
KiGO gmt+8 5pm Sun
Trentdf gmt+10 7pm Sun
Blackwiggle gmt+10 7pm Sun

We dont' have to use this time but I think it benefits most of us (assuming I can find an East Coaster crazy enough to play at 1am). Any later and it would require NA to play in the late hours; any earlier and Luna would have to wake up extra early. This isn't a set time, only a suggestion. Let me or NA know if you have a better time.

We'd like this match to be a 4v4 match. On race day, if you can't get 4 players, then we can postpone; there would be no problem. A 3v3 will be ok if EVERYONE agrees on it.

As much as I appreciate the sorting of the hours.

Well DjKyoto and I are at the same timezones, but by your reckoning we are hours apart
So it makes me wonder who other peoples zones might be out of whack.

I use this site as a common denominator.

I'm getting my timezones at the top right of your comment boxes where it says gmt+/-. I'm not that great with timezones, I've posted next to your sn the timezone I've wrote for you. Let me know if it's wrong. It can be corrected but for the most part its right.

The main concern is to not have anyone playing late at night or too early in the morning.

Yeah the eastern states of Australia (minus Queensland) are in Daylight Savings now, ****ing stupid concept. The state of Western Australia voted the stupid crap out this year in a referendum after a tedious and torturous 3 year trial of daylight savings. Nothing worse than having to work and commute in the Australian summer heat.

Atm:

Perth WA GMT+8
Sydney Melbourne GMT+11

****ed it is, unless you catch a plane to aus, and we can all play in the same timezone, or all the aus players travel to Texas or British Columbia or something, /:

My mistake, it seems with all the daylight savings going on, the correct time would be 5am GMT Sunday.

I was in hospital ,I emailed Kigo as such when I was told I was going to have to stay on Thursday morning,I tried to post here but the site was being a bitch and not loading.:-

I didn't get out till 6pm Sunday ,got home fired up the PS3 and found a chat invite from Luna .
I hadn't [couldn't,no internet bedside] looked at the zone, didn't know that anything had been organized.

I would of thought that since Kigo knew I was in hospital that he might of played.
What happened to TrendF ?

I can't understand why it was only 2 V 2 .

Is this race Sunday night Aus time.

There always seems to be some confusion of start times [starting earlier ] probably daylight savings causing it.

KiGO / blackwiggle. have you guys raced for ANZ* yet?

blackwiggle
25th October 2009, 12:01 AM
NO.
The first race I was prepared for was against team Nordic ,I had ISP problem so I couldn't access the forum,by the time it was fixed I had found out that Djkyoto had already organized and raced team England.

Team Nordic...we had enough players.
Team Japan..can't remember what happened there.
Team Scotland....I was ready to play but Scotland only had two.
2 V2 V2 ...Well it was always going to be Djkyoto & Luna
Team Nth America ...I was admitted to hospital before a date to race had been sorted, the site wasn't loading so I couldn't post that info here,I had emailed Kigo my situation but he didn't pass it on,I got home on the Sunday night ,turned on my PS3 and found a chat invite which was the first I knew about it,[you guys were on the last of the reverse tracks].

As for KIGO ,well his internet connection is intermittent at best,he gave up on the idea after a few days of online practice before the WC started,he had at least 2 disconnections each time,he spend more time messaging me about his **** internet than he did racing.:P

Luna messaged me last night and thinks that it's on ,I was under the impression it might be as well ???

I'm just about to watch that new Sam Rockwell movie MOON,I think it's about 2 hours long.
Send a PSN message if it is on and I'll see it when I eject the DVD and get signed back in.

Is there intention for a team Australia to be racing in 2010?

Seems like i missed out a bit of fun here, bugger.

Who is the head organizer for team Australia?

blackwiggle
12th May 2010, 10:55 PM
Nobody is in charge as there isn't really a team.
It became so unorganized in the last WC because people didn't answer their messages, that "team" [I use that term loosely] Aus/NZ, never had more than 3 players race at one time.
I'd rather not think about the last WC, it's just .....meh...forget it, it still upset's me.

KIGO1987
14th May 2010, 01:43 AM
Thats a real shame, real bloody shame.

People not having the common courtesy to respond to there PSN message to organize events like this is.... well im not going to say it here.

I might attempt to contact some of the people during the 2009 WWC see if they are interested, given that they do respond to there PSN messages.

Well by looking at the old posts on this thread, people possibly would be

Blackwiggle
djkyoto
KIG01987
Raidiumx

maybe a few others.
