Preferred Controls?

Simple question. What controls do you find the best in Wipeout HD? D-Pad VS Stick? Sixaxis?

I myself only use the D-Pad, dunno why really, just couldn't get used to the Stick...

I think this has been discussed a couple of times - might try a search to find it. That said, D-Pad, airbrakes on L1 / R1 - Circle to fire, Square to absorb.

square thrust, X fire, triangle absorb, circle change view
L1/R1 airbrakes, R2 look back, R3 voice
analoge stick

so yeah I don't think any of my controls are on their default buttons

I using an adapter to use a PSone Dual Shock

D-Pad
X - Accel
[] - Fire
O - Absorb
^ - rear view
L1/R1 - Air Brakes
Select - view
R2 - chat (no headset)
Rumble on.

Full motion control with airbrakes on L1 R1
I have started using R2 to fire weapons and L2 for absorb, it seems to flow a lot better when using motion control!
