please do not quote entire posts; it adds to the bandwidth of the server every time a page is accessed [even though the forums are already using GZip for data compression]. we want to make sure that we don't hit the extra cost limit on usage. generally we're only commenting on or answering one or two brief comments in other peoples' posts anyway, and even then, quotation is often unnecessary. in addition, it just adds to the amount of time that we all have to spend before getting to the new stuff. yeah yeah, i know; i'm just hyper aware of time because i'm old. who knows how many years i have left to live. ;)

as always, feel free to tell me if i'm wrong

cheers

it's the bandwidth, the amount of data transmitted to and received from the internet lines that costs the money, not so much the server computer itself. that is a continuing cost, not a onetime purchase.
