I just wanted to inform you guys of a glitch in the zone track "arc prime white" and there is a way to get unlimited zones. This exploit is a pure cheating (no pun intended) and should NOT be used under any purposes to create high scores. It goes as follows:

After the jump just after the arc outside, turn around as if you were doing ark prime black, you will reach a green shield and if you run into it at a certain angle, you can stay there. You will not lose any health and your zones will mount up. I found this out when I tried to see if I could go backwards around the track (no reason really). You will be able to determine cheaters on the leaderboard however by looking out for the lap count. Stay sharp and... Be vigilant!

EDIT: I know this isn't in bug reports but it' more of a glitch or exploit really and should be known about

It's actually pretty bad. Good job for finding this out! Unfortunately this game can't be updated like WipEout HD afaik so it's going to stay this way.

Pictures below (I haven't saved, I got up to zone 80 before killing myself)

Though it's awful this is possible, it doesn't really matter anymore.. The scoreboards have been tainted since about day one and the real pilots know what scores are fake and which aren't.

Interesting observation though, I have found another glitch on Arc Prime some time ago but could not succesfully repeat it. From about zone 30 or 40 and up the bridge can partially be skipped when taking it at it's far right, when pitching all the way up to clear the building at the end something in the code takes the ship down through the floor onto the following lower deck without almost any airtime ;) I've only been able to do this twice or so luckily not more.

I'm not aware of any other glitches in the 22 tracks, besides an annoying feature at Arc Prime black. At the start of the mid-air long left hander, right after the drop, it is possible to install the ship between the wall and lower track-side. Energy is drained though in this position ;P

I think I saw something like this on Orcus, but I couldn't get it to be permanent; the game treated me as if I'd dropped off the track. At the time I'd been thinking of it as a way to pick up 1 or 2 zones at the expense of a few shield points, which could then be restored with a few perfect zones! Your glitch is much better!

Off to have a go at it!

I just got this to work... if you put the ship in just the right spot (I can't see Darkdrium's screenshots on this computer), you can actually sit there and do nothing while the zones mount up!

This will work until about zone 35-40, at which time the ship will start bouncing around. I've found that I have to nudge it to the right every few seconds to keep it from "falling" to the left and into the wall, where it will (somehow?) fall through the wall off the track. By zone 80-90, the ship will be bucking and bouncing so wildly that I have to watch the screen closely and continuously nudge to keep it in position. It's like riding a wild animal!

And... this trick also works on Orcus Black!

The area where you can place your ship is much smaller -- many times you'll go right through the shield and off the track. But there's still a safe zone. I got to zone 50 before I couldn't keep the ship in one place.

Linc, if you hadn't mentioned this, I don't think I would have ever tried this on Orcus again.

I should have used a new file as my "real" personal best on Arc Prime is now overwritten by this fake score. Well, at least I'm getting plenty of loyalty points for my ships and will be able to see the extra designs for the ships I don't use!

lol, cool my name's not linc, I just wondered if anyone would get the "be vigilant" and "LINC" beneath a steel sky references :P
It's a great point and click game from ages ago with illustrations by dave gibbons (watchmen) and GOG.com (good old games.com) is offering it for free, heres a piccy (don't worry, not >50k)

I'm attaching a picture (32 KB, taken with my cell phone; Darkdrium, how did you get such a good picture?) of the spot where I was able to remain until about zone 39 without touching the PSP.

Exact same angle on Orcus, but there as well the shpi really starts to bounce like crazy after zone 40, and by zone 60, you have to nudge it back towards the right side of the "safe area" almost once per minute because it keeps "walking" to the left.

It's too bad this glitch exists; it only highlights how rare such glitches are!

This actually becomes difficult for me as the zone gets really high. Are the rest of you actually reaching zone 80 with no input from yourselves? I must be doing it wrong.
