Online login problems...anyone else?

online login error. i get it about 50% of the time for the last few days when trying to log on. says an error occurred whilst joining channel

Server overload with all the kids on Xmas break I'm guessing would be the cause ATM

Yes, I'm getting this a lot, other players have said they are having problems as well.

Surely this can not be a server problem through too many people. I wouldn't say there is a mass of people online at the moment and I don't think it will be kids as everyone was having trouble quite late at night in the EU.

Two nights ago I played online just fine, but last night I tried another game online and kept getting server error and random disconnections. I guess the PSN is overloaded on xmas

I am often unable to sign in or stay signed in to the PSN on weekdays before about 4pm. Really is frustrating, especially when I've got a download to resume.
