How did you capture the video from the PS3?

Videos are interesting to see how others play, I am also curious how to get vids of the races on a PS3.

Darkdrium777, the music you played on that video is smashing :D

Very fast paced and very wipeout. Nice overtaking and side shifting moves by the way.

How did you capture the video from the PS3?
Late reply - the PS3, using svideo, is plugged into a tv tuner on my computer. I use virtualdub to capture the video - audio comes in through the line in - I have an RCA to 3.5mm stereo plug. I sacrifice framerate and resolution for the sake of recording however - svideo only goes at 25 (or 29.97, depending where you live) fps I think and at SD only.

Here is another set of videos, a Friday night Australia vs. New Zealand tournament. Scores are still being calculated, but Australia almost certainly wins.

I'm not sure what everyone else was doing, but I was in a free-for-all mode :dizzy

I'd be up for a France vs. Australia/maybe even NZ tournament. Although whichever side hosts will have an advantage (weapon pads have a delay when playing someone in the EU here).

That was hell slow, then again it was Flash speed. As i said to Insertcoin it felt like driving through an infinite series of school zones, your going that slow you want to go faster. Not the best races i have had cause my ship was being a bit of a bitch. But damn that was close towards the end. One point. Good racing though Ben:D

Great videos, very entertaining! :) Now we need to see Australia A versus France A ;)

Sounds good. I need to get my standards back, so i can break this rain of French domination in the Wipeout universe.

Nice:D. i hope that this summer its not going to be extremmly hot, cause i leave the PS3 off on those hot nights, no point having the PS3 on cause it makes the room into a fan forced oven since there is no AC.

Thanks Mad-Ice.

I love the bit in the Anulpha Pass race video going into the final lap. Missile - Turbo - then you almost lose it and go off the track on the straight, get it back somehow and then pull off the BR in the narrow section. Stunning stuff! This sort of action would sell the game to people, Sony should use it for promos and we should link to it on other forums.

Phantom looks really fast on You Tube - faster than when I play it. Maybe it shows that Wipeout HD is fast, but it`s just the 60fps that makes it look otherwise.

I will check out the other videos, should be interesting to see what you are doing. :banzai

I remember this race. On the overpass with the winning line in sight and more than a second ahead, and Mad-Ice unloads the entire 30 bullets of the machine gun into my back, causing me to ever so slowly fall off the edge and watch him go past and take the win! Haha, great stuff!

Mad-Ice
17th November 2008, 05:47 PM
Great stuff indeed! This race was very tough from the beginning to the end and to take the win in the last lap is always so much fun! I am happy you are taking it as fun too! awesome anulpha pass race mad-ice :)
you get bashed about pretty bad times, but busted out the best lap at the end. Great skills to shoot him off then go around him :)

Yes, please stop.

Everybody has his favorite. :nod I've found out that either one likes
or "dislikes" the ZONE mode. But sometimes it simply breaks down that one
cannot be the master of all. For example, I'm not into SPEED LAPS atm.

... ProblemSolver, damn! That is such an awesome video and display of sheer performance! :nod

thx!

... If your field of play doesn't end at that track please capture more of them and post those as well, I would be very very interested to study HD's zoning possibilities :g

That was one of my intention since a lot of people have asked me for a
video to study how I do it. However, I have improved a bit since I've
recorded that video. My runs are now a bit smoother at zone 95+.

I would also do some more videos, but I need a better DigiCam at first. As
you can see, as faster the geometry goes as less was the cam able to track
(to encode) the given information resulting in a rather bad video quality
at zone 85+. I need a 60fps cam.

blackwiggle
21st November 2008, 01:35 AM
Maybe a video with your hands and the controller in the shot as well.
We can hear you slapping the controller around in the background, would be nice to know if it's a short stab at the air brakes or small side shifts your using.

And how your getting consistent barrel rolls, mine are far less so,well hit or miss to be totally honest a lot of the time, still haven't got the hang of the damm things, seems to be dependent on which controller I'm using and if it's a full moon or not.;)

Mad-Ice
21st November 2008, 09:47 PM
Well, I am already happy that I could record it like this! I think I am not able to record my hands too, sorry!

Consistent BRs are very difficult, especially in the beginning I had to adjust my thumb movement from the PSP. The D-pad from the DS3 is somehow reacting different. When I tried to put my thumb in the middle of the D-pad and gently rubbing it left-right-left it reacted better. I hope this will work for you too.

blackwiggle
22nd November 2008, 12:25 AM
Yeah, rubbing my thumb over the D-Pad is what I'm resorting to,the problem I've found with that is, that because your hand position is dictated by the shape of the controller ,instead of being able to position your thumb [North/South as on the PSP ]and moving your thumb [East/West] to do a barrel roll.

On the controller your thumb tends to sit across the D-Pad in a [N/E-S/W position],so when I go to do a BR it either doesn't happen or it does happen but I've veered either left or right, and BR into something.
I have to move the whole of my left hand to line my thumb up to BR successfully.
PITA.
Makes me wonder why the decision to keep the control input to achieve a BR were still linked to the craft steering in HD,knowing that the interface had been changed.
I guess a controller mod of some type in on the cards for me.

22nd November 2008, 03:30 PM
Thanks Mad-Ice for those avalon vids, very nice work, i'm waiting patiently for the next ! :)

one or 2 questions though. It seems to me you manage to place 2 side shift into the same turn sometimes. This is something i tried but i gave up rapidly with the conviction it was impossible. For me you have to stop turning and then turn again to be able to do another side shift ... and with the analog stick it's ... HARD (in the same turn ...) :)
so can you confirm you do this please ?
2nd question in ubermall or chenghou, do you pause thrust in the chicane or U turn ? i think i heard the reactor noise in ubermall ....

thx ! and keep up the very good work !

ps: problemsolver, dling your vid atm, i'm sure it'll be amazing :)

Mad-Ice
24th November 2008, 07:29 AM
Thanks Arnaud and I am happy that you enjoyed them. Superb that you commented and rated each and every vid. Big Thumbs up!!!

You are welcome chboing. To answer your questions: Yes I am able to sideshift 2 times in the same turn. Airbrakes are located on R1 and L1, when I tried it with R2 and L2, I was not able to do it too! Try to make a little pause between the two sideshifts, if you press too fast after the first sideshift it will only be an airbrake move.

Yes, I sometimes let go of the thrust in the U-turn and the chicane of Chenghou Project and Ubermall. When my line isn't perfect I adjust with decreasing the thrust.

On the reverse ones these turns are far more easy and can be taken full thrust!

You guys are amazing!
These vids are fantastic Mad Ice! However, i'm a little disappointed, I will never be able to fly like this, as I play with the internal view. Some of the BRs you make are almost impossible in this config. Or at least much less precise!

Guess I have to train more before I meet you online :banzai

Mad-Ice

ColdRem's said "Some of the BRs you make are almost impossible in this config."
man, I really understand what you are saying... I'm also an internal view player. Zico was the worst thing to beat :S those BR's... ouch XD other thing was the zone zeus lol. I couldnt see Sh1t!!! plus I was always nervous :S
But after watching some of mad ice videos I was able to do some of the BR he did. Like he said, Practice is the answer. Exemple. after the "narrow jump" into the chicane. we can all do the BR. It's simple. but! i can't do it and do the next one after the chicane. If I do the 1st, i can't do the 2nd. If i miss the 1st, i can easly do the 2nd. I need some time to play (wich i don't have now :S). I think I will have a marathon this weekend ;) ehehehe

Thx. Yes, I've put some effort into that video. You may wonder why you

Wow, you were not very advantaged at the beginning, mate, wonderfull race :+

Darkdrium777
3rd December 2008, 01:09 AM
On the contrary, I think he was. This lag made it so that he did not get bumped by any of the ships at the start, and ensured him victory because even though the others were appearing ahead of him, they actually were slower because they bumped each other at the start. The lag explains the timing weird stuff with the race times.

As I said on youtube, I like the white flash and blur at the start :D

lunar
3rd December 2008, 01:33 AM
that is weird lag, but how many perfect laps? I hate you. ;) Seriously, great control and concentration, you make it look easy, it isn`t. :banzai

Mad-Ice
3rd December 2008, 06:59 AM
Thanks for the comments guys. At Dark: Well maybe this lag gave me an advantage but that it ensured my victory is a bit over the top. I still have to fly the whole race and not making too many mistakes!

At Lunar: yes I love you too ;)

eLhabib
3rd December 2008, 07:18 AM
Wow, very smooth race! Even if the lag would have made it impossible to actually bump the other ships, you were passing by every one of them (but one) extremely cleanly! I know how much I hate it to have a bulk in front of me, because passing them cleanly is so hard to do, and it usually messes up my raceline because I concentrate on the other ships and not the track. But you stayed extremely calm and controlled - bravo :clap

Wellington86
3rd December 2008, 12:43 PM
Ohh that's what happened here. I thought the game had glitched when it told me I got second, I wasn't even sure if others could see the 'mistake' I was seeing. But that insane beginning explains it. It actually looks very amusing.

It also resolves the question of the 'super' fast starts that were being discussed elsewhere. They're definitely just lag.

mic-dk
3rd December 2008, 01:33 PM
Heh that start pretty much sums up how I feel when playing on-line. I usually nail that turbo-start though - it's just the rest of the race that's a problem ;)

Ubermall, consistent race. I think you already know it, but to be sure, you can use your turbo just after the hill when you are already going low, hit the turbo and fly over the chicane landing with the boost from the BR just before the two speedpads before the next chicane.

Very nice Sol2 reverse race, winning everytime from Chaos80 thumbs up! But whoaaaa, please no more Mission Impossible tune.

Metropia Reverse: Auch, respawn after the turbo, but luckely it worked the next time.

Moa Therma reverse; lost it on the magstrip in lap 3, but gained your control back and you had a good fight with Kanar! Very nice vids mate.

Great racing Leungbok. Superb battle on Chenghou Rev and with Kanar on Moa rev, very tense. Some ramming action was caught on tape, but I`m sure it was all accidental :) I think you nailed some parts of Moa better in the other race, but maybe the tension was getting to you and that was a very good watch.

Metropia, crazy stuff.... I don`t think you will find a shortcut there, but nice try. ;)

Really clean Sol reverse. I think I just learned last night how to take that horrible left hander at the top of the hill where the ship always jumps. I`m doing the same sort of line as you anyway.

Are some of your friends signing in and out all the time to try to distract you?

great flying, I can`t give you any piloting advice, but I can advise you to get a few new songs on your playlist. Actually, maybe keep it because mission impossible works surprisingly well :lol

Lol, Lunar :g
You're right no shortcut at this place, but it was a nice try yes ;)
For sol2 R try to br on the hard left hander, it can helps you to shorten the turn and you will have the benefit of a boost.
You too you noticed that my pretended "friends" are always trying to disturb my concentration ! and they say that i'm paranoïd !!;)
The mission impossible tune was fun during the avalon event, but after the race looking at the vidéos i found that boring too :lol Don't care, more music next time.:guitar

I've been testing a few different methods of recording races and managed to get a race on YouTube. I used a camera that wasn't really designed for film but it turned out OK, something went wrong with the breaking up though. The track is Chenghou Project with Wotan, Wellington, me and some others racing. Wotan won and Wellington had an unlucky elimination at the end.
Feel free to criticise the camera quality and my (not so good) piloting skills:

The song is System F - Out of the Blue, I think it might be the remixed version.

7th December 2008, 01:20 PM
Well it's kind of you to say that my elimination was unfortunate. This looks very much like the race where I was doing unnecessary barrel rolls with low energy. Then when I was extremely near death on the last lap I somehow managed to float up and crash into the top of the entrance to the tunnel after the long left-hander, which killed me. So really it was all my own fault, haha.

Thanks for the video though. I'd do some videos myself but I don't think I have any suitable recording equipment.

Great stuff, Amorbis. That Ubermall video has opened my eyes to new possibilities, I didn`t realise you could cut off so much track to the right on the bridge jump. I wouldn`t be optimistic racing you on that track. :cold

I reckon thae stardard one is faster if you pitch up to avoid turning left after the first br, but that looks like a very reliable line, especially if i have low shield.

good stuff mate.

I only seem to be able to watch the second one in high quality.

I first saw that Ubermall trick last week when ExpitariuS was doing it. If I'm right behind them then they tend to boost off while my screen is rotating as I do my barrel roll, so to me it just looks like they disappear into thin air. It baffled me when ExpitariuS did it, and although by then I knew how it was done it certainly surprised me when Amorbis disappeared lol. Great performance!

And good tournament, it's a shame you didn't film your win in the first race.

Amorbis
8th December 2008, 10:03 PM
I didn't do any filming today unfortunately, but I might do a bit more in the week. The Ubermall trick is very good when you get a boost and shaves off about half a second to a second depending on the height at which you boost and how close to the flower arrangements you go. I think I picked it up from GTP_(can't remember), an Irish pilot. It really was mental seeing them whoosh away so quickly.

I don't know why some won't go in high quality. YouTube is being crazy to me!

Okay, after watching Mad-Ice on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIGS71YuP1Q I DID NOT KNOW you could boost over the gab after the first mag strip, and miss out the right hander completely!! :) Thats so cheap but so good!

edit:
also, after watching your avalon record on vineta k reverse. I didnt know ag systems can hit a br on all 5 laps, hit walls, and still have a bit of shield to spare. harimau can only br 4 laps and your already living dangerously!

eLhabib

AG-SYS has HUGE shields in HD. Unfortunately.

OBH
11th December 2008, 07:00 PM
br reduction should be a %, say 17% or something. Then every ship can at least hit a br every lap, as long as they dont hit any walls.

Darkdrium777
11th December 2008, 10:51 PM
The amount of energy taken by a barrel roll is 15%, no matter what the shield stat of the ship is. So every ship can do a br per lap, as long as they don't hit any walls, already. ;)

I'm cockpit view, but it seems I might have to change as it limits your ability to see what's going on around/behind you,and you get trampled underfoot a LOT when playing really fast players, where otherwise you could block them,or at least attempt to.
The nose of another craft coming up beside you through the cockpit can meld into the side walls, where top down view you can see the whole craft and the way they are piloting.

leungbok
2nd January 2009, 05:51 PM
I don't think everybody can pull those kinds of br consistently, mate. And br only can't makes a top ten ranking. In the tt of metropia R & sebenco, Pihrapac beats his record with few barrel rolls, i think his skills are beyond the ability of succeeding in br. So don't care for the tt contest ;)

Pirapac, after seeing your video and noticing that you have quite a different raceline on Sebenco and Metropia R, I had to try TT on those 2 tracks (never done TT before, only SL). Sebenco I find especially intriguing, since it's really hard to whip out 5 perfect laps with all those BRs and not messing up ;)
But on both tracks I am now directly behind you on the leaderboards, and I think I can fly about 1.5 sec faster on Sebenco (had about 4 or 5 missed BRs, and some wall contact + missed boost pads), and about 1 sec faster on Metropia R. I just need to pull it perfectly once ;)

On Sebenco I really wonder why you use the turbo on top of the hill. I BR there without turbo, land on the crest, BR again. I use the turbo coming out of the tunnel, BR above the chicane.

On Metropia R I have the same turbo spot, but I pull down (under the metal trussing) and catch the speedpad in the bend.

Cerium
2nd January 2009, 09:16 PM
Wow... learn a lot by watching first hand how you guys handle some of these tracks.

pirahpac, in your Sebenco run, I've noticed you're not even attempting one of the final BR attempts immediately after the final chicane when you fall from the hill into that hard right. Might help shave off another couple tenths.
Your Metropia reverse run is pretty crazy as well. Though, I'm curious why you boost over the mini tunnel thing at the end and not into it? Wouldn't it be slightly faster to stay closer to the ground?

Also, what are you guys using to record/edit these videos?

pirahpac
2nd January 2009, 09:30 PM
for sebenco i use always my turbo here cuz i did my 22.08 sl like that..and one time in a tt i did ..21.87 (9 pad 6 br i have a photo) so i continue..and for metropia rev u right i still forgot to nose down for get last pad after boost br

That's a lot better than what I thought it would be, from what you said. :) How is the setup, turn of the lights? Camera goes where? etc. Thanks ;)

Nice quality.

It took a fair bit of setting up, mainly to remove all the auto lighting adjustments as it killed the framerate. All other stuff was pretty much my normal setup, room light was on. Only thing I don't normally do is turn the volume up that high so the microphone picks it all up. It was all recorded straight from gameplay, nothing was added to the video. The camera itself was sitting on my desk in front of me on top of 11 DVD cases to get it up high enough. Could still see over the top though :)

heu!!?? u stop accelerate in the first turn on chengou?? i br before and dont stop accelerate..its very more fast..

I can sometimes get through that corner without letting up, but because of the heaviness of the craft the turning circle is so big it requires an exact line that I can very rarely replicate. It needs to pretty much skim the apex of the corner, and more often than not I slam straight into it. I prefer the slightly slower, albeit safer, line ;)

There's a few more being uploaded now, should be ready later. Again, nothing groundbreaking, just my attempt at some time trials.

Sorry guys. I promised you some video's last weekend, but something came up (missed Bling Brigade AGAIN!).

I've been working on my first video and it was a bit harder than i had in mind. i started recording Zone on Anulpha Pass, but there was just a little bit of lag while recording. IH8YOU
13th January 2009, 05:06 AM
Try using a media player such as VLC (www.videolan.org) - if you haven't already. It plays just about every format under the sun without having to download codecs, and configure anything.

I haven't used it on PC for a while now - but I still use it for OSX, though. If anything, it probably got better since then.

If you're hearing sound but no picture (as stated above me) it's almost 100% certain you need the correct codec.

You can download codec packs for Windows Media Player - but I've seen so many people screw their systems from bad packs, improper installations or codecs that aren't actually codecs (if you catch my drift here) With my old age I'm lazy, and just want things to work out of the box, so I dumped fudging with WMP and TCMP.

Cerium
13th January 2009, 06:16 AM
http://www.cccp-project.net/

The best codec pack ever. Even includes Media Player Classic (which, in my personal opinion, is better than VLC; but to each their own). I've put it on several systems without any issues. And, should you hate MPC, VLC or whatever, the codecs work with every player which use external codecs (WMP, for instance).

SaturnReturn, I downloaded the video but there was only audio, no video. I might have done something wrong though...

I doubt you did anything wrong. Had a hell of a time getting videos off my dad's camera. Then had a tough time getting them compressed decently.

I used VLC player to transcode the files from the dvd as I don't have any software for it on my PC. If anyone can point me towards the best settings VLC's transcoding feature then that would be most helpful. Otherwise I'll have to hijack the family PC tonight.

Danterich, the "Impostor room"is in reference of the Avalon meeting over the weekend, there were numerous PS3 set up each with their own display in the same household, each PS3 had a forum member logged in under their name ,be it Kanar,Kaori or Asayyeah.....but each of these players moved to a different PS3 to play without changing names.
So you might of thought you were racing against Kaori when in fact you were racing against one of the other two.[Impostors]

3 race tourny involving me, wellington, greenix, djkyoto, kingheim and tesser.

Race 1 (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd8w-Y4sXbE&eurl=http://uk.youtube.com/my_videos_edit2?ns=1&video_id=Hd8w-Y4sXbE&next=%2Fmy_videos2%3Fpi%3D0%26ps%3D20%)

hehe.... i should also say there was a tourny before... but i had the WORST 4 races ever... and i refused to upload a video wich was nothing more than me embaressing myself :g sorry guys! It must be said kingheim won that one.... id love to say "deservedly won", but i wouldnt know!!

I never managed to get good quality videos on youtube, it always butchered them. Well it still butchers the LQ and HQ versions, but HD seems fine. Here's a more updated list of what you need. (http://help.youtube.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer=132460&topic=16621) If all fails, look around for some other free video hosting. I recently stumbled across WeGame (http://www.wegame.com). They have good quality for free gaming videos..

I was using Movie Maker before Vegas, and with Movie Maker I used the following:

http://www.wipeoutzone.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=508&stc=1&d=1232562494

Although this is the Vista version of Movie Maker, similar settings exist on Windows XP. Just tick the ''More Settings'' box and scroll through the choices until you get something like the picture above. Exporting with these settings should nail you something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n9IneWzQYg&fmt=18) when you watch in high quality.

The link below may help. Tells you about resolution and codecs for high quality. Depends how awesome you want it to be. I got a cheap HD camera (720p) and can upload the .mov files straight to youtube in HD, but they're pretty big.
How to get high quality youtube videos (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hLtTNE61iik)

Here's one of mine that uploaded fairly quickly, despite being about 100MB I think. Not awesome quality but you can still read the player names which is the main thing I want on the videos. You can compare it to the HD video which I uploaded straight from the camera. I find HD loads too slow as well. Can't be bothered waiting that long for a 2 min race.

I assume that HQ has a limit so if you can upload at the exact resolution (and similar bitrate) that youtube uses then that would probably be most efficient. Although I am completely speculating and don't really know much about this stuff to be honest.

High Quality (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=weGOWUbvGq0)

HD (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uIKh4I4NsD4)

They're pretty washed out looking but that's just because my camera is so poor. Also, please ignore the strange sheep sound I make when close to elimination :p

EDIT: Hadn't seen ZeeZ's post above. That list seems to pretty much tell it all.

haydn - the HQ vid I just saw of yours is good enough quality for me. However, it downloads to only about 2/3 the file size of the one of mine. It doesn't even play in VLC for me either so maybe try a different codec?

the other races ive done are same quality but only 31 meg, will uploaad those soon.

Yup. It's pretty bad tonight. I wondered why I kept winning so often. Thought it was just my awesomeness :( Doesn't help having a triakis on the room.
Earlier on Greenix and I appeared to coalesce. Once apart again I came off better as I had 11% shields and Greenix spontaneously combusted in the middle of my screen. In another race later I had him locked on with a missile that just flew up in the air, followed seconds later by the lock on sound effect.

Any reason why this is in the video thread?

I just used the shortcut on the first lap (of Ubermall reverse) to overtake the whole field. I'm not in the habit of using that one in online races, it was just instinct - if I'd thought about it I wouldn't have done it. So I thought it was cool enough to see a replay of (lol), but it's certainly not worth going to any trouble over.

Wow, I loved the slo-mo part towards the end, on Sol 2 Reverse, where you ended up scooting IN BETWEEN the mines while going around a corner...cool stuff!

I filmed a TT on SCR using the TRIAKIS (my fav ship). One of my contacts dried while playing and fell out. haha. I filmed it using my small camera phone; it isn't that bad of quality taking in account its ancientness. I'll figure out how to work this "recording directly from the tv" stuff and put some more up.

In the mean time; let me know what you think. =D
I'm going to have to re-upload it after class today.

1st Nordic Sessions (http://www.wegame.com/watch/Nordic_Sessions_12_02_09_Wipeout_HD/)

A 10 minute-edit of highlights and "lowlights" from the 1st Nordic Sessions.
Featuring chaos80, Soccermums, Zoth-Ommog, Golgofier, drMannevond, CRIZ-87, Mulvad and JJPAP.
Pretty intense and damn good fun! I guess that´s why we all love Wipeout.
Enjoy.

Fantastic video JJPAP. One of the most entertaining Wipeout videos I’ve ever seen. Love the way you included not just the good bits, but also the bits where things go horribly wrong! There were several places in the video where I couldn't help but laugh, recognising a particular mishap as one which has happened to me on far too many occasions (eg falling off the Chengou bridge, again and again and…..).

I re-uploaded it. My dad said he "sort of" raised the quality. Sorry guys; I wanted only the "best" for you. =D Let me know what you think. It might be in processing still.

ok people, don't get TOO excited, but i have some news:
guess who has 69 videos to upload!! no i'm not joking...
it might take a while but i'll get them up as soon as i can.
all videos taken afternoon/evening 17th feb 2009 so if you raced me you're probs in one of them.

apologies in advance for the quality, i only had a 1gb stick for my camera so i had to lower the resolution and TRY to put the videos on my laptop before the next race started. got pretty hectic at times. they are perfectly watchable though, i made sure.

i'll keep you posted as far as uploading ''the good, the bad, and the yeldar" is concerned :)
ciao

ok, I'm excited now! But you never said who does have them ;)

69... What was used more, your analogue stick or the camera record button. Thats certainly dedication to making a wipeout film, never mind a 10 min vid. Which makes me think... I'd love to see a scene like that of the pod racer one from star wars but wipeout style, maybe add 3D glasses and a few well known racers like elhabib in auricom or wellington in feisar and it would be a blockbuster.

Oh and welcome to team Harimau, yeldar. Very few get into the team, or was it only a few are in the team......

Cant wait to see them all :D

more time hastily plugging the camera into the laptop immediately after i'd finished the race, moving the file over (which takes time), then setting the camera up and pressing record just as the next race was starting.
i was dead by the end of it all, never been more knackered in my life...

To try and rekindle the interest in a wipeoutHD woprld Cup I made a little teaser trailer.

After a while i kinda didnt know who races for what team, or indeed whos involved, so i started just guessing :g hope i got most of them right!

That's what I call a teaser - didn't hear/read anything on the W'O''WorldCup before. Well mostly beacause I joind only some weeks ago and still practicing. And now I want more ...

But there are so few racers from GY *sic* Anyway, as stated above. I like those compilation trailer teaser vids. Great job! And I think I have to dig through the WorldCup thread to get comfy w/ what's when going on .

Superb trailer mate! Really well put together. Perhaps Studio Liverpool could employ your talents the next time they put together a marketing push for a Wipeout product :)
