Thank you! :D I've been slowly improving over the months and am real pleased at being able to get into the top 20s and 10s for some tracks now. I couldn't actually believe it myself when I flew over the line and saw 22.74 blinking at me.

And, ugh... too many glitches with spectator mode. I hear it's the main culprit behind the messed up leaderboards for single races. I always wait it out in the lobby. ;)

I'm working on my phantom reflexes, but a little more practice is needed to capture anything globally relavant. It's tough making something interesting for all you pro's to find good!

Hey WizardPlay! Nice runs but the beginning of the Ubermall Flash TT is already outdated (http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o28/Rezatron/Screens/IMAG0072.jpg) :robot but then again you could slap some annotations over it now :D

I used the same method except that my last boost was used before the drop in the middle of the lap. Perhaps your method is faster if done cleanly as it seems you can get off 3 more BRs that way. It's also possible to do a SS-BR off the first left speed lap on the first lap. I didn't do it in my run (real tough!) but perhaps someone in the future can use it to their advantage.

See you on the tracks again once my DSL gets fixed. :bomb

Thanks, I'll be more cautious of the language barrier. WipeOut is a very multi-cultural game, which is amazing these days. I'm never sure who speaks perfect English / are trying to, but as an American, most foriegners speak better than our 7th graders!

Was kinda funny, I saw your (WP's) Ubermall TT and thought "hey, I reckon I could beat that". Turned over to my PS3, get into WOHD and see Rezatron is already there playing a "flash TT" :P

Took me a little longer than I was anticipating even though I haven't played much of the game in recent times, but I scraped in at '.83. Sorry :lol Hopefully I'll get around to beating Rez's time as well...

Definitely give the boost at the dip for the straight a go, you should be able to get low 24's or better for your last lap with it. (i do and your first 3 laps are faster)

It's not actually a 'glitch' in the technical sense, but it's a very hard to pull off shortcut on Sol 2. I think people just call it a glitch to voice their disapproval of its use. First time that I have seen this and I think it shouldn't be shown in videos... the boards are bad enough already. :P

EDIT: Just so noone misunderstands... I'm not defending the use of it. I was just expecting something more weird when people mentioned glitches on certain tracks (eg. your ship glitches into having a permanent turbo or something lol). To me it looks like a mapping oversight by the devs... need more invisi walls!

i think the shortcut after 1st right corner is a legal one, but the one b4 finish is 100% a glitch!
it's a bit like the sebenco glitch.
it doesn't matter, if it's hard to pull off.
it wasn't intended to be a shortcut.

The current sol 2 shortcut keeps to the track/lines, but that obviously cuts out a good portion. Which imo makes this a glitch. If people want to use it thats up to them i suppose. Its a shame really because this is really fun track:frown:

Yeah, but I know someone who made it on all laps of a TT... but he's an honest guy and doesn't upload glitched times...
If someone is beginning to use this glitch for online ranking, you may have a big surprise with an unbelievable TT.

After some caffinated Time Trial beverages, I captured a 1:35:32 run on Rapier. Still 0.62 off pirhapac's mind blowing time (shocker).

I simply CANNOT get it to work on Phantom yet, going to keep on trying!

Mm. I'm thinking about maybe redoing it at some stage with a script or something. That way some people may actually be able to understand my on-the-fly ramblings.

Gonna try to be a bit more thorough with the colour changes, which colour do you need to focus on to get 'X' etc...

You can also do it with different overlays and backrounds. I've done a few with gradients and a few with some funky silhouettes here and there but nothing logged as yet.

You can also see a bug in the Ubermall Reverse video. If anyone remembers me mentioning it in the chat: The whole track is lit up brightly as if a bomb is permanently going off, making it blindingly bright. This happens if you restart the race just as a bomb goes off. It's the worst if you do it on Sol 2.

There's more simple and faster and faster at flash/venom speed (i didn't understood that you talked about flash on your question on the ranking website :redface:). Try to boost/br at the start, it makes the second br on the first turn easier to perform ! ;)

On a side note, YouTube doesn't support 60fps. It seems your camera adds motion blur (pause the video at any time and you'll see a blurred image rather than a clean frame) which can make 30fps look as smooth as 60fps. Even though the second video may have been 60fps to begin with, youtube will have converted it down to 30fps... to me both of your videos are equally smooth right now.

Uploading a 60fps video will be a waste of bandwidth really as youtube will convert it down (and usually it does a bad job), so uploading a 30fps+motion blur will give you the best results for less uploading time due to smaller filesizes. ;)

Ahh, thanks for letting me know.. I never really watched the videos myself on YT, since I have the really good quality ones on my HDD. But know i know that.

Well, the camera does record directly to MPEG4, which is a compressed codec, so I guess that's why it blurs a bit, even if it says 60fps.

Edit: I think I'll just stay to 1080p sweet HDness, for the videos I'll record from now on. Since all of them will be posted on "You Noob" anyways.

I've covered all the HD and Fury tracks already in my tournament videos but feel like completing the individual set too... so, I'll probably be adding more eventually.

I've also finally got round to installing Windows XP Mode on windows 7 to use the damn Dazzle Platinum (DVC170) without having to physical alter the HDDs so that my computer boots with my old WinXP hard drive (the DVC170 drivers don't work with Win7 64bit). Much easier to setup my recording stuff now. :)
