Maybe there is not a posibility or maybe it's a matter of time! :nod
How do you feel about being able to skin your ship at full colour and high resolution? If not for HD for future releases! :)

that would be heaven! too bad I don't see it happening... :(

I think it would be great :) except for the fact that HD/future craft will have huge amounts of polys and whatnot, but a downloadable version you could run on your PC would be wonderful!

I'm trying to think how it could be done ... as the ships become more complicated (more layers of wings and whatnot) you'd need a livery editor where you could 'explode' the ship to make it possible to paint it in 3D (or 2D, for that matter).

Anyone who's built an Airfix kit and left it 'till they'd glued it together before trying to paint it, knows what I'm getting at. It's fiddly.

But it would be great anyway! I am voting yes.

De-lurking for this one!

Yes, please. But not like the bloody awful on-line abomination that we had for pulse. A proper downloadable (Java, maybe) application compiled for windows, OS X and linux, please!

Re-lurking now...

Maybe take a clue from Forza 2's livery editor? That one is PERFECT.

A skin editor would be awesome. :g

I dunno about this the ships look pretty damn fine as it is. HD is so pretty, no doubt someone would create an ugly as sin skin and that would de-pretty things a little. I can see I am the minority here but No.

Maybe it would be more attainable to be able to modify already delimited regions of the skin, along with the colour scheme or something. But somehow I believe we all want a complete re-skining even if we have to spend hours learning 3D modeling! :dizzy

modify already delimited regions of the skin
That's what Pulse's does, essentially. Expecting the user to rebuild the 3D models is stretching it a bit :)
