Well since i don't have a PS3. Might get one later when the price goes down. But anyways I was wondering if you can play any other Wipeout's on the PSP. Such as Wipeout 3? Just wondering.

What the...? Everybody's playing in 3rd person? Can't play any racer other than in 1st person. Imo it's what makes racers fun to play in the first place.

@topic: SE still looks awesome, especially on the PSPs excellent screen. But then again I always thought that SE on the PS2 with the enhanced psx driver options looked better than fusion.

I managed to get my pal copy of 2097 to play on 3.10OE. Didn't even have ot use a ntsc fix. I just used the popsloader plugin with pops from firmware 3.00.

Gameplay is great, but the menu doesn't rotate anything.

Hi Flat and wellcome a board :)
Could you explain ( more detailled, i mean) the way you can have 2097 running on 3.10 OE. I have 2 friends who wants to have it on their psp ( and possibly me who is staying desesperatly with my antique devhoock 0.46 on one of my psps )

Thanks by advance

I'm running 3.10oe as I mentioned earlier with a plugin called popsloader by darkalex. You can get it here: http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=482

Download firmware 3.00 from somewhere then extract the data.psar file using a utility called PBP unpacker. Get it here: http://www.pdc.me.uk/pbpunpacker.php

Move the file data.psar to the root of your memory stick on your psp

Now you need a PSAR dumper to decrypt data.psar. I used the one that came in this package: http://dl.qj.net/Devhook-v0.52-w-PSAR-Dumper-PSP/pg/12/fid/11963/catid/114.

Put the psar dumper in your game150 folder and run it. Press square when it asks you what you want to do.

Now you'll have a new folder in the root of your memory stick called F0. In the kd folder within that you'll find the following 3 files. pops.prx, popsman.prx and meaudio.prx. Copy them to someplace else. Now rename them pops300.prx, popsman300.prx and meaudio300.prx.

Now just follow the instuctions that comes with the poploader plugin and enable it in the recovery menu.

That's how I got my pal version of WO 2097 to work.

@Flat: I think what asa means is, "how did you get 2097 on your psp with 3.10 OE?"

I don't understand. I thought I explained the process quite well.

Wipeout 2097 (at least the pal version) didn't work on 3.10oe, it never got past the FMV. I had to install a plugin called popsloader and the pops from firmware 3.00 to get it to run properly albeit without rotation in the menus.

Never had to put in a pops loader for 3.10OE-A. even though i was running on the updated OE-A'. The little mark after the A means its the updated one!:D
I can actually give you the site on where to download WO3:SE. if you want, even though i think that would be a violation of the rules?
