Unique golds...

Sorry to ask but whats an "unique gold"?
I often see that expression on some FAQs.

It means you can't do the same race more than once and expect to add another gold to your tally. Unique golds mean separate gold medals for different races, classes or game modes. While your stastistics will keep track of your total golds, the progress screen will only log your unique golds. A better way to think about this is the medal list in the progress screen. Each time you fill up one of these with a gold, you've got a unique gold.
