nub vs. D-pad

Although I learned to play WipeOut XL with the D-pad, when Wip3out was released, I learned to use the analog. Maybe it was because Assegai was such a sweet-handling ship, but I did very well with the analog.

I use the analog on Fusion (is the D-pad even available?)

and, on Pure all I use is the nub... I tried using the D-pad, but I feel the D-pad is "too big"... I like the nub better...

yeah i agree, I could never get used to the response from the D-Pad. Although using the nub is definatly not the most confortable way to play the game for long periods of time! 8O

I can't imagine phantom with d-pad. I was surprised how accurately the little nub works.

Did you ever try wipeout with a negcon? You'll improve your performance significantly. I wish I could use it for pure.
