Does anyone have it?
And is the font used for the WOP-logo really a font or just a logo like it was with Fusion?
:D

…An awful one for Fusion. In my opinion of course.
Sorry for Good-Tech, it looks like they picked the wrong number.

For Pure title, i guess it’s only a logo, as they didn’t use it for menus. Just like in WO3.
But who knows ?

This thread is now "a little bit" old.
So I re-answer my question.
Does anybody have the WipEout Pure Font(s) ?
I really like them, esspecially the font used in the menue.

Fox? Do you have it? Or Colin? Or somebody else?

The font's not available out side of SL. You could sit and design one based on it, but it would take time and a bit of software knowhow ...

OR

Go here:
http://www.1001freefonts.com/fonts/ufonts2.htm

They have plenty of sci-fi fonts for free - "uni-sol" on the link I've pasted is quite WipEout-ish. :)

Shame, i swear i have seen that font elsewhere.

Anyway, the other font used in the game is "OCR A EXTENDED" right?

UniVox, Unsteady, and Uranium look pretty good too. Especially UniVox.

I found a font maker tool, so I will try to make the Pure Font. I hope it will work well.
Give me a few days (Maybe a week - school is stealing my time) and hopefully I will have finished the font
:D

Do you mean this one ?

(Select the "downloads" link on the left)
Not exactly the same, doesn't have any caps but it should do the trick.
Or you might use it as raw material if you want to make the real one.

Does anybody know how I can change the window that shows how the font will look like?
I used another font so I had a good size for the new letters. Now the old letters are deleted and the new ones are inserted.
But everytime when I open this window it shows the old font the new one is based on. Does anybody know why?
Is it a separate file in the font?

I'm afraid i didn't catch what you mean exactly. What kind of window are you talking about and which software are you using ? Fontlab or something like this ?

I meant this:
you have a font and want to know how it will look like. So you make a double click on it and a window appears that shows how the font will look like.

The problem is:
I made the WipEout purE font based on another font - the PS2 font - because it's letters have the right size. I used the size of the PS2-letters as a model for the purE-letters. I took the purE-letters over the PS2-letters. Made them as big as the PS2-letters and then deleted the PS2-letters.
So I used the PS2 font as a base, insered the purE-letters, deleted the PS2-letters and now have a font just with the purE-letters.
The problem is: when I open the window (look above) it still shows the PS2 font and even when I give this font another name it can't install the font because it says the PS2 font is already istalled. So the purE font is still the PS2 font in the core

You have to export the font before you can use it. Don't know the software you used, but you have to change the font information first (this will define its name and how it appears in menus…). If you don't check this, conflicts will happen with your actual PS2 font.
When you export your font, you're asked to chose a bitmap size that will be used for the double-click preview (it's a size in pixels, so 14px for exemple is readable, but not very representative).
Hope this helps…

Hey, it'S finished!!
I'm sure there are some bugs, but all in all it looks cool!
I designed lowercase letter and a few symbols as well. I hope you like it! :D

If it's good enough and somebody checked it, maybe Fox could add it to the download section at wipeoutzone.com 8)

Now say what you think about it :)

you have to correct some letter spacing issues (Abstand zwischen den Buchstaben ist manchmal kleiner, manchmal größer  ), but other than that, it's prefectly fine!

you speak german?! 8O
Oh, I see you're from Austria :)

yeah, Maybe there are some problems with the spaces. But I won't change that today... maybe tomorrow or the day after. We will see...

Great to hear that you like it! :D

hello...first post ever on wipeout zone

The font looks good Sausehuhn! You mentioned that you had fixed the spacing (I assume this refers to the tracking? Horizontal spacing between the letters) from before. I'm not sure how it looked before since I wasn't around, but things like that can be easily modified in Adobe Illustrator. So, if you the basic font structure, things like that shouldn't be too much of a problem anyway, if you have Illustrator that is. However, now that you've fixed it...I'm probably thinking too much :?

welcome to the forums sip!! :D
Great that you like it. There weren't sooo many bugs I think, so it was no problem to fix them. So or so it took me hours to make this font. And now I'm happy that it's finished. :)

Haha nice dmc.
Fedora eh?
Although I'm not sure that the Wipeout Pure font is exactly readable for Terminal.

I appreciate your dedication, but there's no way I could use that system :P especially not the terminal
