Man, save all the cryptic stuff for the Fusion forums - they cant get enough of that there... don't tell me, Wamdue - you call your special shortcut "break" and will wait until the rest of the planet guesses wrongly before revealing that it involves hitting the same speed up pad twice?!

The shortcuts in Mandrashee:

Course 2 : just after turn three there is a switch pad on the deck to the right of the course. Go over it to raise the bridge, then head over to the right hand side of the bridge - either you're fully upgraded or you'll have a turbo that lifts you onto the rocky mountain path.

Course 3 : in the underwater section, build up speed and take the ramp on the right hand side. With enough pace this cuts out the following dip and allows you to carry good speed up onto the two rows of speed up pads.

What about the bobsleigh section of Cubis Float 3? When you go through the first banked turn there is a wall on the left - shoot it and it will explode allowing you to cut out quite a portion of the following banked section.

Or the second straight at the end of Vohl Square two? Coming to the last third of the lap you can hit the brakes and drop off of a ledge instead of jumping it. You'll fall through to a long straight below, covered in loads of speed up pads to make up for the momentum you lost getting down there.

Strangely, I call all of the above "break" because it breaks my heart that a serious racing game even has stupid shortcuts that don't belong anywhere outside of SSX!

Roll on Wipeout 5!

hehe foxie you covered about them all, but then i dont put the mandrashee course 3 jump as a shortcut, for me its just an optional jump. then you got the superspeedy section trigger on temtesh  i like that one.

Don't forget the turbo jump on Alca Vexus 3.

But, dudes; I've heard sumthin about a shortcut underneath the waterfall, or maybe through it? I dunno. Please tell me, learned ones.

On alca vexus 3 (right after the turbo jump) theres a jump, look to the left and you'll see a waterfall, jump through it (you'll need to put the airbrakes on ALOT otherwise you'll hit the ceiling), this is a huge shortcut actually.

Thanx alot, dude. I'll try it when I get home from work.

I found that one today whilst doing the Van Uber challenge. And you're right, it does speed you up some.

Nice one

I didn't really find it myself, I was told about it by a very nice man called Garvin

He built Florion Heights, you know.

Which makes him a god almost!

We need more Garvin made tracks then! I really hope that Devilia will be in the next Wipeout... and possibly a nice Oval track with a whole length of nothing but speed up pads!

Maybe the Fusion team should pop into this here forum and speak to the fans about some ideas or something.

Somebody wrote here that there will be no more wipeout game...
Confusion : Youre in the fusion team ? What was your function (dont know if its the right word)?
Is there any other fusion team member here ? I shouldn`t say so many bad thing about fusion then...

Wamdue, if you think I'm giving out contact details so that people can spam the living hell out of a complete stranger with their view on how it could've, should've, or would've been done then you have another thing coming! (besides, he's on holiday at the moment)

The developers pop in here occasionally for a look round, but for the most part they don't participate. The reasons for that are outlined in the paragraph above, so please take note anyone who wants me to pass on anything or get e-mail addresses for them. There is absolutely no chance of me doing that.

My "function" is nothing to do with the team who made the game, really - I work on web type stuff... which is different.

C'mon now, infox! Whenever you start a new job, it's always best to get your friends and enemies sorted out as soon as possible. What better way to do that than handing out email addies?

Might as well sign them up to some porn mailing lists while you're at it.

As Heaven...: Thanx for the tip. It was a massive short cut. Very difficult to hit though.
